It is finished!
I can smell the sweet scent of victory! I am so relieved to be finished with this semester. This has been a challenging one. I love and thrive on challenges but it seems this one was taking too long. These next couple of weeks I will be preparing my mind for the next ten weeks. I keep telling myself just to focus on the stepping stones to my goal. It seems so far away until graduation and yet it is only 2 1/2 years. My daughters will not even both be in kindergarten. Life is looking up. This semester is coming to an end and so is winter. We have 35 days until spring!

Staying fit under stress
This is a point that I used to ponder. How do I get in shape and stay in shape while my life keps moving at a faster pace than what seems possible to handle? Make a schedule for all that you want to accomplish in a day and incorporate your exercise into your everyday duties. Run in place while watching your favorite show. Do lunges while working in the kitchen. Get your kids involved and you will have included precious family time. Keeping yourself healthy is not only a gift to you but to your family and friend as well. I have found tha making slow, gradual changes has helped me adapt to a healthier lifestyle.

Snow days......
These are the days that our schedules get rearranged. The games get pulled out and excess messes are made. I know my daughters to not go to school yet but my three-year-old does go to preschool. Those couple hours that she is gone does make a big difference. We are getting tired of being stuck inside all the time. A coupe days ago we made a large tent with chairs and lots of blankets for our picnic lunch. We even had a flashlight in our tent to see. The girls ate their food better than they had in a while. Now it is asked every day to do it again.
By the way, I am ready for springtime. Better yet, summer! This cold stuff is not friendly and brings out the worst in us. On the bright side, we are closer to spring than we are to the beginning of winter. =)
I know that this has nothing to do with what I am writing but this is something that I have on my heart. People need to be careful with medications and food interactions and drug interactions. Your doctor needs to be told any medications that you are on in order to figure out what would be safe to prescribe for you. For instance, common aspirin can cause nutritional problems. It decreases the absorption of vitamin C in leukocytes and impairs the protein-binding ability of folate. Previously I was not aware of how careful we need to be with drugs and supplements. People think that because it is a vitamin or mineral supplement it is safe. You need to work with a nutritionist or Registered Dietician to figure out if it is alright for you to take.
Have a fantastic weekend!

Warm fireplace and a mug of hot chocolate...
This is what my heart desires right now. I yearn to rest and forget about this dauntng task that is looming before me. I will admit that I do not enjoy writing essays. My topic for my essay is about the hormones found in meats and is more dfficult than I expected. Why do I do this to myself? Is it procrastination or is it a legitimate fear. Many of my classmates are making it look so simple. I, on the other hand, am constantly looking for a break and thinking that it will just be a small one. Suddenly I realize that I am just pushing it off and need to buckle down. My research is done and 1 and a half pages of my rough draft is written. I think I will go get a glass of water and dive back in! Unfortunately my desire did not win.

A lazy Saturday spent with my family
Today has been one of those days that I have been wishing for. A time to reconnect with my family and cherish the silly moments. Nothing was planned and therefore my husband and I just played with our daughters. I will never regret the times spent with loved ones and all the precious memories tha we make. I had finished everything that I needed to for school yesterday so that I can have one day to recoup. It is a goal that I made.....to have schoolwork done on Fridays. My schedule is made, my menu is planned, everything is cleaned and groceies are bought. Tomorrow I am tackling my research for my topic in College Composition 2 and my project in Nutrition Planning and Management. This little break will give my brain the rejuvenation that it needs to continue.
Until next time!
Until next time!

Confidence is key
Confidence is our motivation. When we are knocked down by hurtful experiences and our immediate situations, humans tend to mope and feel depressed. All people respond differently to this feeling. Some of us tend toeat excessively and put n the pounds and others lose their appetite. Neither way is beneficial in keeping our lives moving forward. There is always the positive outlook in life. We can choose if we want to be happy or sad and that is what our lives will be based upon. Negativity causes failure and positivity brings success! Surround yourself with positive people.
I feel strongly about this and I hope this this is helpful to all!
